Bespoke Case Study – Beaumont Leys Specialist Science School
Vicky Priestley from Beaumont Leys School gives her view of working with us:
“ As a newly designated Specialist Science School we have been developing links with our feeder primary schools. When writing the bid we identified that carrying out Scientific Investigations was the key area that teachers wanted support with. I was delighted when the Science Learning Centre agreed to lead our CPD sessions.
Bespoke CPD sessions have also been run at two of our partner primary schools. This was aimed at developing whole school practice when carrying out Scientific Investigations. It has had a huge impact in schools borrowing our equipment and team teaching in one of the partner schools is now flourishing.
On a personal note, I have found it incredibly helpful to have such amazing support and it has really helped make the Community part of our plan succeed by the quality bespoke CPD that has been delivered and the way it has helped me in my approach to team teaching. ”
