Barrister raises chambers' prestige
University of Leicester graduate Peter Murphy has been confirmed as a Queen's Counsel by the Lord Chancellor. This appointment, known as 'taking silk', is a major and significant milestone in a barrister's career.
Peter Murphy, who graduated in Law in 1979, is a tenant at 30 Park Place, Cardiff, where he maintains a well-respected criminal law practice. His appointment bring the total number of QCs at 30 Park Place to eight - the largest number in any chambers on the Chester and Wales circuit. He is a member of Grey's Inn.
