The Web Corporate Identity Guidelines for department home pages

• The University logo size 3 (192 x 54 pixels) is placed in the top left hand corner of the page
• The University logo is available on a range of browser safe background colours from the Web palette of 216 colours .
• The University logo is linked to the University home page. 
• A visual device may be used on the right hand side to emphasise a page theme.
• The <H1> tag should be used for the appropriate page heading so that the text can be used and weighted correctly by search engines. This does need to restrict the style of the heading.
• The University navigation bar is blue with a minimum of 5 button links. 
• The University navigation bar is not designed to incorporate a departmental navigation schema. If a departmental navigation schema is required this should be provided separately and in addition to the University schema.
