Children's Health Research Conference We held our 1st Health Research for Schools Children’s Conference on Saturday 26 April 2008 at the University Celebrate Leicester Day. Twenty three children from two local primary schools Braunstone Frith Junior School and Overdale Junior School presented their health research projects. The conference took place in the University Medical School. Pupils gave presentations on health research projects they had undertaken on a range of health topics including: 'Who does more physical activity in a week, boys or girls?' 'Who eats healthy snacks after school?' 'Healthy eating - Sweden vs England' The conference was a huge success and was attended by around 70 people, a combination of pupils, parents, teachers, university staff and the public.
