The University is closed during Bank Holidays and Closure Days
Easter 2024
The University will be closed (except for certain facilities - see links below) on:
- Thursday 28 March
- Friday 29 March (Good Friday)
- Monday 1 April (Easter Monday)
- Tuesday 2 April
- Wednesday 3 April

Activities and events
Our Residence Life programme continues over the Easter period, with activities on each day. Any Leicester student is welcome to attend these, regardless of whether you live in our halls of residences or private accommodation. No need to book, just turn up.

Urgent support
- Call 999 for the police, ambulance or fire services. If you feel your safety or wellbeing is at immediate risk, please call 999.
For urgent medical help that is not life-threatening, ring 111 to speak to a trained professional who will direct you to the appropriate NHS service. - University Security is available 24 hours a day. They can respond directly to incidents on campus, including halls of residence and can provide support with reporting incidents to the police. Call 0116 252 2023 (non-emergency) or 0116 252 2888 (emergency).
