Extended Schools
For children and young people to reach their full potential they need a positive approach to learning and to school. Having opportunities before and after school helps to do this.
Support from STEMPOINTs
STEMPOINTs can provide support in setting up and running clubs by linking you to resources and materials available locally or nationally. STEMPOINTs may be able to put you in contact with others running similar clubs in your area and with Science and Engineering Ambassadors (SEAs) who can support the club.
There are many other ways in which STEMPOINTs may be able to support Extended Schools: running workshops, sometimes at a Saturday student and parent event; providing links to local universities and businesses to arrange visits; arranging student placements; providing loan resources; informing about challenges and competitions; advising on funding opportunities.
Your local STEMPOINT can be the gateway to many ideas, contacts and resources and will support you as you develop Extended Schools science services that meet your needs.
