Professor Lin Foxhall – historical research

Professor Lin Foxhall, history expert behind the search for Richard III

Lin Foxhall is Head of the University of Leicester’s School of Archaeology and Ancient History and also Professor of Greek Archaeology and History. She was educated at Bryn Mawr College, the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Liverpool, and has previously held academic posts at the University of Oxford and University College London.

Lin is the lead on the major Tracing Networks Project funded by the Leverhulme Trust and is co-director of the Bova Marina project in southern Italy. She has published extensively on gender in classical antiquity, as well as on agriculture and the ancient economy.
