The University of Leicester is among the top twenty UK universities, according to the latest league table in the Financial Times.
The FT 100 league table, which cover 16 categories providing an employer-orientated snapshot of university performance, shows that the University has risen from 26th to 19th place in one year.
In addition the University of Leicester has been identified as being the leader for taught postgraduate programmes in the country.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Robert Burgess, said: "I am delighted that the high quality provision at the University of Leicester has been recognised in this national league table. Leicester has enjoyed consistent success recently in the Quality Assurance Agency's teaching assessments and is an internationally recognised research university. This latest league table provides further evidence that the University is going from strength to strength."
