The University of Leicester is encouraging more people to benefit from the education revolution through a Postgraduate Open Evening being held on February 14.
A range of full-time, part-time and distance-learning courses is available in many subjects including management, marketing, education, law, the arts, humanities and science.
The University of Leicester is the UK's third biggest provider of taught postgraduate degrees and is among the country's biggest providers of postgraduate distance learning courses. More than half of the University's 15,000 students are postgraduates.
People in Leicester and beyond have the chance to find out how they can benefit from the range of courses by visiting the University's Postgraduate Open Evening on February 14 from 4pm - 7pm.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Robert Burgess, said: "Postgraduate education and training has become the fastest growing aspect of higher education in the UK as more students decide to engage in taught courses full-time, part-time or by distance learning and in research.
"The University of Leicester is at the forefront of this education revolution. We have pioneered courses, many of them vocational, which have been taken up locally as well as around the world. There are over120 degree courses available.
"The reason for holding this Postgraduate Open Evening is to highlight to the people of this region the enormous range of opportunities available to them. Education is for everyone and we wish to encourage individuals as well as representatives of the corporate sector and professions, to find out what is available.
"The success of business, industry and the professions is inextricably linked with the strength of the knowledge-based economy."
The Postgraduate Open Evening takes place on Monday 14 February from 4pm - 7pm in the Belvoir City Side Suite, Charles Wilson Building, University Road, University of Leicester. Parking is available on campus. For more information, ring 0116 252 2293.
