A conference at the University of Leicester on October 6 is to examine issues relating to dyslexia and mathematics.
Does It Add Up? will deal with the teaching of mathematics in schools and colleges and will include practical ideas for helping teachers and parents to meet the special needs of students with specific learning difficulties.
Conference Director Morag Hunter-Carsch, a lecturer in the University of Leicester School of Education, said: “The conference planning group is a unique collaboration between the University’s School of Education and representatives of the local branches of the UK Reading Association, the Dyslexia Association, the National Association for Special Educational Needs and others.”
