Celebrating a World of Difference at the University of Leicester

People from around the world at the University of Leicester will gather to celebrate their cultures during a special evening on campus.

The International Students' Association is holding a Cultural Night on Saturday, March 1st from 6pm-9.30pm.

The University of Leicester has around 1,500 international students from more than 100 countries.

The event will feature dancing and music from around the globe including Salsa, Latin, Indian, Student Anthems and Cheesy Tunes - if you like Eurovision you'll love Cultural Night!

Amir Alwan the Vice-President International said: "The night is special to every international student - and it brings a taste of their culture to the University of Leicester and its students.

"Cultural nights has been held for over eight years and represent a celebration of many different cultures. Its aim is to bring people together and encourage more diversity - but also more integration and understanding of international students and their cultures. It's fantastic night."

Following the event, the International Students' Association has organised an after show party in the Students' Union which goes on until 4am.

Tickets are available in the Queen's Hall Foyer and the Union Shop on the Campus of the University of Leicester and tickets will be on sale on the night.
