2003 Chaplaincy Lecture at University of Leicester

The annual Chaplaincy Lecture at the University of Leicester will be given by Professor Frances Young, Cadbury Professor of Theology at the University of Birmingham.

The address, Discerning the Vocation of Persons with Severe Learning Disabilities - A Theological Reflection, is particularly topical in view of the implementation of the Disability Discrimination Act. Professor Young is personally connected to the subject matter, being the mother of a young man with profound disabilities.

Frances Young is known as a dedicated academic, her main interest being in early Christianity and its progress up to 500CE. Her publications include The Making of Creeds, Face to Face - A Narrative Essay in the Theology of Suffering and From Nicaea to Chalcedon.

The lecture takes place on Monday, March 10, 2003 at 5.15pm, in Lecture Theatre 1, Attenborough Building, University Road, Leicester. It is open to the public and free of charge.
