- Right kidney weighs 120g, Left kidney weighs 130g - both have a normal surface appearance, although one has a small fluid-filled swelling (this is called a simple cortical cyst, and is a common finding).
- Kidneys appear normal on slicing, with a normal internal structure, a well-defined corticomedullary junction and no evidence of focal tumour or inflammation.
- Renal pelves, calices and ureters are normal.
- The bladder appears normal.
- Normal external genitalia, normal testes.
