Maidenhead Heritage Centre (MHC) wishes to recruit a new Manager with immediate effect.

The role is part-time, 20-25 hours per week at the rate of 12.50 per hour, and involves office and volunteer management together with marketing of the centre and its services.

The main aspects of the role are:

- Management of a team of volunteers

- Making Facebook and other social media posts

- Keeping in touch with volunteers and supporters

- Producing newsletters

- Co-ordinating online lectures on Zoom

- Answering phone and email enquiries

- Processing shop orders and dispatching goods

- Ensuring compliance with DBS, GDPR and HSE regulations

- Tallying up the till

The ideal candidate will have experience in a managerial role, be highly computer literate, be self sufficient and highly organised and will be flexible and reliable.

The mission of MHC is to preserve and celebrate all that is notable about Maidenhead and the surrounding area for the benefit of present and future generations. This is achieved using physical and virtual articles to illustrate the importance of people, objects and events from the area and displaying them in interesting, attractive and informative physical and virtual formats. Particularly, the centre has an internationally renowned collection of exhibits relating to the Air Transport Auxiliary, which was headquartered at nearby White Waltham airfield during World War II. The centre's Spitfire Simulator Experience is popular with visitors from far and wide.

The centre is normally open from 10am to 4pm five days a week (Tuesday to Saturday)
