A history of the Society was published in 1955 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Society and some copies of this are still available.

To mark the 150th anniversary of the Society, Robert Rutland has researched and written a detailed history of the LAHS from 1855 to 2005. Copies can be bought and details can be found under occasional publications.
