In the villa of Businiacas is a demesne farm with a house and other buildings, with a garden, an orchard and a chapel. 11 bunaria of arable land belong to the demesne farm. Of these, 5 bunaria are sown in the autumn (for winter crop) with 20 measures [of seed corn] and 6 are sown for the summer crop with 36 measures. There are 4 bunaria of meadow, from which it is possible to collect 30 cartloads of hay. There are there 3 bunaria of copse. There is one mill there from which 20 measures a year is derived. There are there 11 farms. Each and every one pays 10 measures of malt and 2 measures of hops, andfor relief of service (pro levamine) 1 denarius, and 1 pig. The [men of the farms] journey to the vineyard in every other year, or remit 1 solidus instead. Every seventh year they each pay 1 solidus in lieu of military service (prohostelico). They each provide 1 pound of flax, and 1 chicken and 5 eggs. They do watch duty. They work 2 days a week with an ox, and on a third day they provide manual labour. Likewise 1 farm which owes 9 measures of malt; it makes linen cloth or remits 1 solidus instead. All other services [owed], just as those above. Likewise 1 farm which owes 6 measure of malt and one measure of hops. There are likewise 8 farms. Each one owes 5 measures of malt and one measure of hops. And these and that above render all other services just as those above. There are there 20 unfree servants, who owe 1 solidus per head. There are 8 others who owe a similar amount. There is wild wood there, where it is possible to fatten 10 pigs.

There are 3 bunaria of meadow, producing 25 cart loads [of hay]. There are 2 bunaria of copse. It has there 10 bunaria of abandoned land and wild wood for pasture. There are there 6 farms. Each one owes 5 measures of malt and 1 measure of hops. They produce another amount of the lord’s wheat. They give pigs. They give one solidus in lieu of military service one year, and in the second year they transport wine or remit one solidus, in the third year they give 2 denarii for the delivery of wool. They do watch duty or remit 2 denarii. They do 2 days service a week with oxen. Four of them each give a half measure of corn and 1 denarius instead of spinning. There are in Tournai 2 urban plots (sediles), from one 2 solidi derive, from the other 2 denarii. There are 2 mills, from each 4 solidi are derived. There are there 21 farms, from these are … each one gives 30 buckets of beer. They transport the wine in every other year or remit 1 solidus and serve. They give 4 solidi between all of them in lieu of military service each year. They give bread. Each and every one gives 3 chickens. They make linen cloth … in winter they work 2 days service a week, and three in summer. There are … from 2 farms, which give 25 buckets of beer and 2 chickens. They do not give bread. All the other services are owed just as above. Indeed they do fencing service (pecturas) and watch duty.There are there 2 dependent farms. Each serves as they are ordered. There is 1 mill, from which … measures can be gained. There is one farm pertaining to this benefice which now is deserted by all, which had previously produced 4 solidi in tax (in censum). There are near there 3 farms, one gives 4 measures of malt, two give 6 measures between them. There are there 9 haistaldi [semi-free workers], who owe 1 solidus per head. For this farm pertains 15 bunaria of arable land. 5 bunaria of these are sown with rye in the autumn (for the winter crop) with 20 measures, 5 bunaria for the summer crop with 30 measures. There are 10 bunaria of meadow where it is possible to collect 40 cartloads of hay. There are 4 bunaria of wild wood. There are there 10 farms, 2 of which each owe 30 buckets of beer, 3 chickens, 10 eggs, and 1 pig. They transport the wine in alternate years or remit 1 solidus. They serve. Between them all they give 2 solidi each year in lieu of military service. They give 10 loaves of bread. They do watch duty.
