Victoria Park is the University’s back garden, a grade II-listed open space where students spend sunny days relaxing, playing sports or, in extreme cases, actually revising. Tree-lined footpaths and bicycle routes criss-cross the park’s large, open spaces. A wide range of sporting facilities includes several football pitches, tennis courts, a basketball court, a changing pavilion and a BMX/skate facility.

Interesting fact: Victoria Park was used for horse-racing from 1806 to 1883.
