Currently, under the supervision of Dr. Mary Swan and Dr. Orietta Da Rold, I am researching the context of English language law-codes from 1060 to 1220 with particular focus on Cambridge Corpus Christi College 383. I am particularly interested in text and manuscript as artefact; the construction of identity; the narrative nature of perception and agency and the theory of archaeology and history.

My previous research has been as a theoretical and maritime archaeologist and as a medieval historian with focus on Iron Age and early medieval Scandinavia and Britain. As a field archaeologist I have excavated on a number of prehistoric, Roman and early medieval sites.
