Collection history

The EMOHA collection currently comprises of 72 interviews, the result of an ongoing recording project by the EMOHA started in March 2001.

What the collection contains

The interviews in this collection cover a wide range of themes and topics relating to residence of Leicester and Leicestershire in the 20th and 21st centuries. Subjects include memories of childhood toys and the games played, wartime recollections, youth in 1950s and 1960s Leicester, migration to Leicester and experiences of the world of work.
