Leicester Geographers win Best Paper Award at Remote Sensing Conference

Leicester Geographers win Best Paper Award at Remote Sensing Conference

PhD student Darren Ghent and his supervisors Professor Heiko Balzter and Dr Jorg Kaduk from the Department of Geography were award the President's Cup for the Best Paper at last week's Annual Conference of the Remote Sensing and Photogrammetry Society (RSPSoc). The paper describes how satellite data on land surface temperature can be used to make climate model simulations more accurate.
