Elizabeth Long

Project Manager joins Estates and Facilities Management Division

Elizabeth Long has recently joined the University as a Project Manager within the Development Team of Estates.

Having spent most of her childhood living just outside Liverpool, Elizabeth moved to the East Midlands about 10 years ago. She currently lives in Nottingham with her husband John where they have an extensive vegetable garden; gluts of onions, beans and courgettes are often palmed off to colleagues in raw or chutney form so prepare yourselves!

As a student Elizabeth experimented with various subjects and did a bit of travelling before completing a BSc degree in Property Development at Sheffield Hallam. Since then she has worked as a project manager in both public and private sector organisations, maintaining a focus on regeneration and sustainable development. Until recently she also ran her own consultancy business in renewable energy but she is pleased to be expanding her horizons now at the University as she says “working with a great team of friendly and experienced people.”
