Dr Elizabeth Scott-Baumann

Leverhulme Early Career Research Fellow appointed

Dr Elizabeth Scott-Baumann has joined the University's School of English.

Elizabeth joins Leicester from Oxford University where she studied for her BA, MSt and DPhil. She has taught at the universities of Oxford and Oxford Brookes. She works on early modern English literature, especially women’s writing and poetic form.

At Leicester, Elizabeth is a Leverhulme Early Career Research Fellow working on a project on Literary Criticism and Gender in Early Modern England.

She is a member of the Renaissance Society of America and Modern Languages Association, has published articles in journals, in the Blackwell Encyclopaedia of English Renaissance Literature and writes regularly for the Times Literary Supplement. In June 2012 she was International Visiting Research Fellow at Massey University, New Zealand.
