Research on the memory abilities of 18-30 year olds

Psychology study looking for participants

We are seeking 18-30 year olds to take part in research study on memory and social interaction. The research involves imagining the route through a maze under different social interaction conditions. The research findings will be used to better understand the importance of the social context for effective visual-spatial memory and may have implications for educational practice and for understanding the role of social anxiety in learning.

Participants must be between 18 and 30 years old, should be native speakers of English, and have good normal or corrected vision (e.g., be able to see well with glasses or contact lenses). The study will last approximately 1 hour. Participants will receive a small payment (5 pounds) for taking part.

This study is supported by Nuffield Science Bursaries to two A-Level students from the local area.

If you would like to take part in this research, please contact Dr Kevin Paterson (Email: , Telephone: 0116 229 7179) in the School of Psychology.
