Gives very detailed description of railway line, railway traffic, Bardon station and Bardon village shops and businesses, from when he was a boy. Recalls trip to Wembley exhibition in 1924, the annual August Fair and the Birch Tree Inn in Bardon. Also remembers the Everard family, regarded as local squire and Managing Director of the local stone quarry.
