;There is a useful screen magnifier tool hidden away in Windows. - This can be used, for example, to magnify areas of text in a document, making the projected image easier to read for large audiences (or indeed its intended purpose of enlarging the desktop for the visually impaired). To access the magnifier, navigate your way through Start/Programs/Accessories/Accessibility/Magnifier. There are various options /degrees of magnification, and the magnified window can be positioned anywhere on the desktop or more conveniently perhaps, docked to top or bottom / left or right edge of the screen. See the example below, which shows a "screen grab" of this page being edited with the magnifier and options in view.
