Pointer Options and Keyboard Shortcuts (XP)

Usually during a presentation the mouse pointer will disappear after 3 seconds. To keep the
arrow visible throughout the presentation, right mouse click, select "Pointer Options" and then
"Arrow options", and then "Visible". To have no pointer at all, click "Hidden". These changes
must be applied when the presentation has started, i.e. at full screen, not during edit or sort
mode. When you exit the presentation the arrow will revert to the automatic mode. It is not
possible to make the change permanent. These instructions apply to PowerPoint as supplied
on University machines with XP installed. Machines with Windows 200 and older versions of
PowerPoint are slightly different, click here to view.

Clicking on "Pointer options" and selecting the various pen options and ink color, allows you
 to annotate slides on screen.  To use the pen during the show, left mouse click and hold,
and drag to draw. Press the E key to erase any annotations  you have made. The F1 Key

All changes made in pointer options are removed when you end the show.
