Staff at the University's Hugh Binnie Sick Bay recently gathered together to say farewell to two valued colleagues. Audrey Cort, Cook Domestic, and Mandy Graham, Nurse Manager, will both be much missed.

Audrey Cort retired on December 20 after ten years at the Sick Bay. With a reputation for hard work and a willingness to help in any situation, she kept the Sick Bay in tip-top condition and ensured that student and staff alike were 'well fed and watered'! Many will remember her for her kindness and care. At a small informal gathering, she was presented with flowers, gifts and vouchers from her colleagues at the Sick Bay and from Freemen's Common and De Montfort surgeries.

A cake was provided by the Catering Department, with whom Audrey had daily contact. Tributes mentioned her caring and conscientious attitude to work, and she was wished a long, happy and health retirement with Derek and the family.

Mandy Graham has managed the Sick Bay for six years, and pioneered many changes in that time. Her sense of humour is renowned, and students and staff alike have been cheered by her presence. At a small leaving party, colleagues from many areas of work gathered to congratulate her on her work at the Hugh Binnie Sick Bay and her new appointment with the Blood Transfusion Service. Mandy was presented with gifts and vouchers reflecting her interests in gardening and travel - she is presently planning a trip to Las Vegas!

Sick Bay farewell to caring staff
