Obituary: Mrs M Tyson
Margaret
Tyson, who died on Wednesday, March 26, was in the second year of a part-time MA in
English Local History at the University of Leicester. She was an enthusiastic
and dedicated student, whose commitment to the Leicester style of local
history meant that she travelled regularly from her home in Stonesfield in
Oxfordshire to attend classes and field courses. She
had many talents and interests, including choral singing and archery. She
produced the village pantomime each year at Stonesfield. Staff and students in
English Local History are very conscious of the loss suffered by her husband
Blake, who often visited Leicester and shared Margaret's interests. Professor
Christopher Dyer
