Death notice: Mrs Barbara Roberts Barbara Roberts, who retired from her University post in 1987, died on Monday, June 17.  Mrs Roberts joined the University as a Senior Clerk in the Faculty of the Social Sciences Office in March 1977. In July 1978 she was appointed to an additional part-time post in the Department of Archaeology, and in October 1980 she was promoted to the grade of Principal Clerk. She retired in 1987. Her funeral took place in Loughborough on June 25. Donations in her memory may be made to The Cancer Care Project, made payable to Alpine House Surgery - who cared for her throughout her illness - and sent c/o H Towell, Funeral Directors, 5 Danvers Road, Mountsorrel, Leicestershire LE12 7JG.
