General research areas:

Social cognition (e.g. attention processes, long- and short-term memory effects for social information); social stereotype processing (e.g. gender; race; age); stereotypic social judgement; unintentional mechanisms of stereotyping (e.g. automatic activation and inhibition); attentional processes in stereotype selection; ironic memory effects for stereotypic information

Specific research topics:

• Stereotype suppression and stereotype expression mechanisms and effects: the extent of intentional processing
• Goal-dependent stereotype activation
• Perceptual and attentional conditions of stereotype activation
• Change blindness for stereotypic elements: conditions and differential effects
• Change blindness for stereotypic elements: the role of social context
• Retrieval-induced forgetting of stereotypic information: the moderating role of social context
• Social conditions for unintentional plagiarism
• Implicit measures (attention, memory, behaviour) of stereotypic information processing
