Michael Wang is Professor of Clinical Psychology
and Course Director with responsibilities for managing and leading the Course
team and for providing strategic and policy direction. Although he takes a broad
biopsychosocial approach to clinical problems, Prof Wang has particular training
and expertise in cognitive behavioural therapy and is a recognised clinical
neuropsychologist. He is a former Chair of the Division of Clinical Psychology
of the British Psychological Society and has broad knowledge and experience of
the profession at national level. Prof Wang is able to offer research
supervision, particularly in the areas of health psychology, adult mental health
and neuropsychology. He has a research interest in psychological aspects of
anaesthesia and surgery.
