GASTROINTESTINAL SYSTEM

• Oral candidiasis.
• Tongue, pharynx, oesophagus, stomach, duodenum were normal.
• Evidence of erythematous mucosa in small and large intestine (see below).
• Cryptosporidium parvum seen on small bowel.
• MAI was also found to be present.
• Liver weighed 1800g - with evidence of micronodular cirrhosis internally (see picture).
• Gall bladder, billiary tree and pancreas appeared normal.
• Peritoneal cavity was normal.
