Service: "Each
of the Demo Libraries will implement the Live Reference Service
in their own manner. Most will limit use of the service to their
own registered library users; some will use the system exclusively
between units of their own system; others will use Live Ref in both
ways. Each library will determine the type of access they wish to
explore, the hours at which the service is available, etc. The service
can be altered at an instant's notice depending on the individual
library's needs.
Note: Stage One includes inserting a "ask me" icon on a selected
page of their website--either a site available to the general public
or an in-house library page. Because the ASK ME icon is controlled
by the library--visible only when the service is "in action"--you
may or may not see it when you visit the library's website. "

on Cisco's Webline product, but they have added several features
of interest to libraries, such as e-mail transcripts of sessions.
