Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality

This is part of the Department of Health website, dealing with advice on Clinical Governance.

Healthcare Commission
The Healthcare Commission is an independent body, set up to promote and drive improvement in the quality of healthcare and public health.

National Clinical Audit Support Programme
Access clinical audits in heart disease, diabetes and cancer via the NHS Information Centre website. Each audit looks at the care patients are receiving and gives clinicians reliable, valid information that helps them review their performance and identify areas where they can make improvements.

NHS Clinical Governance Support Team
The NHS Clinical Governance Support Team has been created to help deliver the successful implementation of Clinical Governance 'on the ground'. Their aim is to support the delivery of high quality patient centred healthcare that is accountable, systematic and sustainable. The team provides the necessary support to make this happen - putting NHS policy into practice.
