Project
LeAP aims to increase the profile of
problem-based learning (PBL) in university
Physics and Astronomy courses. The
University of Leicester heads the project
consortium, with the Universities of
Hertfordshire, Reading, and Sheffield as
partners.
One of the
project’s output is
"A Practice Guide to
Problem-Based Learning in Physics and
Astronomy"
(published by the Higher Education Academy
Subject Centre for
Physical Sciences) which includes
comparative analysis of PBL within
physics, case studies, exemplar support
materials for students
and tutors, and
original PBL problems. The report has been
distributed free to all UK Physics
Departments.
