Stanley Burton Centre for Holocaust and Genocide Studies

The Stanley Burton Centre is an interdisciplinary and collaborative research centre within the University of Leicester. It was the first research centre dedicated to the study of the Holocaust to be established within a British university.

We are committed to conducting and supporting and research, teaching and learning about the Holocaust and other genocides, their causes and consequences, and related themes such as memory studies and the history of violence.

We are dedicated to advancing and disseminating knowledge and to encouraging reflection on these themes through regular public lectures and events.
