Postgraduate Facilities

Marc Fitch Historical Institute

Postgraduate students are accommodated in the Marc Fitch Historical Institute. This comprises separate study areas, a common room and a computer suite. Fully networked computers and Wifi connections are also provided in student study areas.

Libraries

The University Library, revamped in 2007-8 possesses high-quality electronic and printed resources. Amongst a wide range of materials for historical research, it holds named collections on English Local History and Transport History. The Centre for English Local History and Centre for Urban History also both hold specialist collections.

Arts Postgraduate Community

The Faculty of Arts provides a number of facilities which foster an inter-disciplinary postgraduate community. There are facilities for you to share problems and discoveries with other postgraduates, and to take advantage of social, training and research events provided by the Faculty and other departments. Computing

The University Computer Centre provides central computing and IT services to support the University's activities. All students have access to the central computer systems supporting a wide range of standard software applications, e-mail and the Internet.
