Elections for members of the C41/ICHA Organizing Committee for 2012–2015
According to item 43 of the IAU’s Working Rules, we need to hold elections for the 2012–2015 Organising Committee several months before the Beijing GA.

Nominations for our next Vice-President and for OC membership are now closed. The elections will be held shortly.
The rules
The President may only serve one term, and the Vice-President (currently Rajesh Kochhar) is normally elected to succeed the President. However, we are required to select our new Vice-President. OC members may only serve for a maximum of two successive terms, so Teije de Jong is not eligible for re-election, but the remaining OC members — Juan Belmonte, Brenda Corbin, Ray Norris, Luisa Pigatto, Mitsuru Soma, Chris Sterken, and Sun Xiaochun —- are all eligible. The Secretary is normally chosen by the OC from its own membership following the GA.
The elections
The deadline for nominations has now passed. Arrangements for the elections will be announced here shortly.
