The Department of History of Art and Film at Leicester is a small, vibrant research community and offers opportunities for advanced study in a wide range of areas through a taught MA degree and MPhil and PhD programmes, which are available full time and part time. Full details of these options, including information about funding, can be found on the following pages.
We currently have 11 research students (MA by research, MPhil and PhD) pursuing advanced research in subjects ranging from medieval art and architecture to modern subject topics. Dedicated study space and computing facilities are provided for postgraduates. A regular programme of research seminars with staff, postgraduate and visiting speakers, takes place.
