Summary
Creation and distribution of a 3rd Edition of the Geospatial Analysis book and updated accompanying website www.spatialanalysisonline.com. The first and second editions of the Geospatial Analysis book and website have proved to be a very successful and widely used resource. The free-to-access website version is used by over 10,000 people each month. Numerous Universities base course modules on the text and its supporting materials or use the book as a core reference. The 2009 SPLINT Fellowship award to Dr de Smith has been provided to fund the initial production of the 3rd edition in full colour printed format, which has not previously been possible, and to provide Ebook versions of this to all the participating SPLINT Universities for their staff and students. Both the printed book and Ebook editions have now been delivered (September 2009).
