The following Excel Spreadsheet facilitates the calculation of Analytical Precision and Minimum Detection Limits using count rate data obtainable from the JEOL output listings.

Analytical Precision (Microsoft Excel)

A full ('F') output listing from Job 74 (in 'Unknown') or Job 4 (in 'Summary') is required from the microprobe for those analyses for which precision data is to be calculated, along with an output listing of standard intensities from Job 74 (in 'Standard'). A knowledge of the total counting times on peaks and backgrounds for specimen and standard is also required.
