Polymorphisms downstream of minisatellite MS32, spanning crossover hotspots MSTM1a, 1b and 2

 

The sequence is taken from Release 23.34e.1 of human chromosome 1 and is orientated centromere to telomere. Coordinates are given relative to the position of the centre of minisatellite MS32.  Alu repeats are shown in red and microsatellites in green.  The locations of PCR primers used for amplification of genomic DNA and for resequencing for SNP discovery are indicated below the sequence.  The alternative allele at each SNP is shown below the sequence. The approximate positions of the centres of meiotic crossover hotspots MSTM1a, 1b and 2 are also shown.
