The site was first launched in May 2005, and included 10 glossaries. Each year, more glossaries are added, and further updates will be made in future. These glossaries offer a first-hand account of current slang used by sub-groups of Leicester students, but many of the terms are also more widely employed. Perhaps some of the terms currently restricted to Leicester will be more widely used in the future, and these glossaries will offer an otherwise unattainable insight into their etymology and early usage.
