Séverine Le Roy was born in Belfort (France) on the 30th of August 1977. She graduated in Molecular and Structural physical chemistry in 2001 from the Joseph Fourier University, Grenoble, France. Then she joined the Electrical Engineering Laboratory in Toulouse LGET [Globe Graphic] and obtained her Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering in 2004. She is currently a post-doctoral Fellow at the University of Leicester, in the High Voltage Laboratory, in the framework of the European contract: Benefits of HVDC Links in the European Power Electrical System and Improved HVDC Technology (2003 – 2006) [Globe Graphic
Her research activities concern the development of numerical models able to describe the behavior of space charge in solid insulated polymers, when HVDC or HVAC stresses are applied.
