by Professor Pollock to exploit this technology

Dr Helen Pollock received a BSc degree in Physics from Imperial College London in 1985 and an MSc in Applied Optics and Diploma of Imperial College in 1986.  In 1996 she was awarded a PhD from the University of Warwick for research in  Power Electronics.

Dr. Pollock is a Senior Research Fellow in Power Electronics and Drives at the University of Leicester.  Research interests are in power supplies for lasers and welding in which high frequency resonant power conversion has been employed and power electronic control for flux switching and switched reluctance motors in which high performance controllers have been developed for automotive and light industrial applications for these motors. She is a chartered Electrical Engineer
