Latest news from EMOHA

EMOHA are hoping to start a project called 'Migration Stories'. This is a project planned as part of the MLA East Midlands and Renaissance Regional Olympiad Plan. We want to record stories of life in the East Midlands from groups/communities across the region who have direct or indirect experience of migration, and then present these via a website, exhibitions, and events in local communities and at a larger regional event. The aim is to record peoples' memories, compare and contrast these memories, and by doing this draw out the shared experiences and the unique circumstances of people who have arrived in the East Midlands from elsewhere. Please contact us if you are part of a group, or you know of a group, who would like to take part, More information is on our news page.

An extract from 'Up for the Cup', a compilation recording of players talking about Leicester FC's 1949 FA Cup run, has been added to the community pages. Listen to it here.

We are gathering information about oral history in the East Midlands and want to share information about all the holdings and projects in the region. Look here - East Midlands Oral History Pages - and let us know if anything is missing!
