Requesting a recording

EMOHA's collections are available to search via the Archives and Special Collections Catalogue. If the recording is available online at Special Collections Online there will be a link at the bottom of the catalogue entry. However, most recordings are not available online and you will need to make an appointment to visit Archives and Special Collections (in the main library at the University of Leicester) to listen to them.

Make a note of the reference number of each recording or collection you would like to listen to e.g. EMOHA42 for a collection or EMOHA42/9 for an individual recording.

You can listen to all the recordings in EMOHA's collections at the University's Archives and Special Collections. You should book an appointment via these contact details (please note the opening times):

If you have any queries about the collections or individual recordings you can contact EMOHA via:

Material on the EMOHA catalogue that relates to Leicestershire and Rutland can also be accessed at the Record Office for Leicestershire, Leicester and Rutland at Long Street, Wigston Magna, Leicestershire.

Recordings can only be listened to by an appointment made at least a week in advance. See the Record Office's opening hours. For access to the Record Office you must have either a Day Ticket or a valid County Archives Research Network (CARN) Reader's Ticket. Find out more about admission and tickets.
