Over the course of the pilot project, we shall be posting drafts of work in progress relating to the history and archaeology of the parishes that form the Whittlewood project area. Parishes are a useful sub-unit in which to work, but our project should not be viewed simply as twelve parish surveys. Our approach is thematic, looking at all aspects of settlement and landuse, from the Iron Age through to the present day. We would value any comment you would like to make on these drafts.
