The Whittlewood Project is sponsored by the Medieval Settlement Research Group, based in the Centre for English Local History at the University of Leicester, supported by the Universities of Belfast and Exeter, in partnership with Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire County Councils, and funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Board.

Recent additions to the website include the results from test pitting in the villages of Leckhampstead, Akeley and Whittlebury.  These can be found via the Archaeological Research page.

New and revised parish histories (December 2003) can be found via the Historical Research page.
