Recently-completed projects

An overview of recently-completed research projects in the ESL is given below.

Designing and implementing embedded fault diagnosis systems using MLP and RBFN classifiers

Yuhua Li and Michael Pont

As new microcontrollers and related devices have become available, it has become possible to create embedded systems for condition monitoring and fault diagnosis (CMFD). This project is investigating how two popular and effective classifiers, the Multi-Layer Perceptron (MLP) and Radial Basis Function neural Network (RBFN), can be most effectively employed in embedded CMFD systems.
